Journey Journal

Short reflections on lessons from my life experience.

Fun Fact:
The Bombax tree on the South lawn of the MFA was planted in 1965. It was 2 or 3 ft high and was rooted in a bucket!

Its not surprising that the Maya used to believe aย kapok tree stood at the center of the earth. I feel when you’re standing under it, we’re all connected.

When my brother and his fiancee visited St. Pete for the first time, I felt so excited to bring them to this space. It’s been my favorite place to bring my close friends and family visiting ever since my neighbor showed me this little piece of heaven. Taking impromptu engagement photos of them in this tree was so grounding that I felt closer to them than ever.
