Lessons of Life
Concepts that clarify the complicated crap.
Throughout my life, I’ve been such a night owl. I usually get some of my best work done between 11pm and 3 am! It’s nice to understand yourself and what makes you tick. However, just like a clock during daylight savings time, we must learn to adjust our clocks to align with the rest of ourself.
The majority of my life, I’ve suffered with poor self esteem and lacked the confidence to make solid decisions and depended on others to push me to make choices when needed. When my best friend, @mynerdyacupunk, informed me of my super imbalanced gallbladder chi and how my sleeping habits were affecting my organs natural rhythm, I set my intentions to become aligned with what is best for my body.
Needless to say (as I post this after 11pm), it’s a process and calibrating my internal clock has been an eye awakening experience.
Gall Bladder time is 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Gallbladder stores and release bile, which is important for proper digestion specifically fats.
The meridian is associated with regeneration and sleep; so the hours before midnight are important.
Emotionally it is in-charge of self-esteem and decision-making.
Symptoms of gallbladder imbalance are poor self-esteem, imperfect judgment, or difficult to digest fats. Sleep disturbance during this period indicates depletion of gallbladder energy stores.
