Short reflections on lessons from my life experience.
“Happiness in this world, when it comes, comes incidentally.
Make it the object of pursuit, and it leads us a wild-goose chase, and is never attained.
Follow some other object, and very possibly we may find that we have caught happiness without dreaming of it.”
– Nathaniel Hawthorne
What’s more powerful than wishfully wanting? Dreaming of doing. The subtle change from seeing your desired situation outside of yourself to envisioning yourself fully present in the possibilities will allow you to see the proximity of these realities.
Today, I took time to dream of my next home. I dreamt of the lush landscape surrounding my seaside bungalow. A warm and welcoming space with large windows marrying the inner bliss with the outer paradise. I dreamt of how my chi would flow naturally through the tall archways and wander around the communal corridors out into a feng shuied functional garden. I feel myself falling in love with the foundations of this future and the stability of the structure it will establish for this next leg of my adventure.
The wonderful thing about manifesting these things into existence is the freedom I feel by delegating the formulation of my dreams to the universe to do its thing as I continue living my life happily and appreciatively until the time is right to move.
