Mountain pose is one of my favorite poses to begin and end with in my yoga practice. By standing strong like a mountain and opening your lunges to the breath our life force needs, you can feel invigorated in moments. Every time I visit the ocean, I like to plant my feet into the waves like a volcano and open my arms and accept the energy of the sea and the earth joining at this very ridge.
- Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth
- Lengthen your body by rooting your toes and feet into the earth and raising your crown to the heavens
- Allow your arms to hang open like greeting your inner child or close your hands close to your heart in a prayer position
