- Stand with your feet hip width apart and middle toes pointed forward
- Ground one heel into floor and step other foot 2-3 ft ahead
- Inhale and lengthen your body before folding at the hips
- Keep equal amount of weight in back leg to maintain balance
- Keep hips squared
